WEDDING VENUE MAP
Find a venue with this interactive map – while this map is by no means every venue in oregon, it includes most of the places i have been to, and sometimes has a video or other bits of random info that might be helpful
The Complete how to guide to wedding planning.
Go from engaged to fully planned wedding with this free book. (currently a work in progress, will include 17 chapters and a quick getting started guide when its done)
If you are just getting started, I recommend reading the quick getting started guide first, Its a much more friendly document then, oh I don’t know, an entire book, for people just beginning the process, covers everything you need to go from what now, to we got this!
general resources / The Blog
A traditional western wedding timeline you can use for reference, or as a base for your own timeline. basically an average of the timelines I typically see most often.
A blog post detailing the first steps and providing general guidence for the initial steps in planning your wedding.
A blog post providing some off the beaton path options for 5 affordable venues in the general portland wedding area
RECOMMENDED VENDORS
A currated list of vendors I have personally had very good experiences working with. Everyone on this list is someone I have personally worked with, and have come to respect.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Everyone listed here, is a photographer I have worked with many times before. While me and my team work extremely well with almost all the portland area photographers (we live in an amazing team work oriented town) all the photographers on this list are gonna be a completely seamless fluid team, that works together with the same fluidity as if we were all part of the same studio.
WEDDING PLANNERS
Lisa is just the most incredible human, she is so kind, and she is so detail oriented, she is an incredible planner, I highly recommend her.
Venues
Troutdale house by the sandy river
A very friendly and easy to work with group of humans run this place 🙂
Check out the map above for a much wider range of venues, I tried to make that as comprehensive as I can. and while its certainly not all the wedding venues in Oregon, its definitely a decent overview with a ton of options.
DJ’s
I recommend zaach with them, they have a whole team, and I rarely recommend just anyone with a company with a whole team, but i you can book zaach, top notch DJ
Probably have the most realiable wireless audio in town. If you can get sean, that is the guy you want, but I enjoy working with everyone on the team I have worked with so far, because we can almost always pull sound straight from their board for the video and it sounds amazing just straight out of the mix.
